About R. Tyler Croy
R. Tyler Croy has been an open source developer for over 20 years. Originally getting his start in the FreeBSD project, and then working with the Python, Ruby, Puppet, and Delta Lake communities.
Most of his formative open source work has been within the Jenkins project, where he helped with advocacy, governance, and community infrastructure.
Non-profit
Tyler was a board member for Software in the Public Interest, the Jenkins project, and helped initiate the Continuous Delivery Foundation.
Currently Tyler is treasurer for the Blue Tailed Skinks, a local cycling non-profit.
Hacking
Recently his focus has been in the Delta Lake and Rust communities, exploring the potential use-cases for Rust in high concurrency data processing for customers of Buoyant Data.
